We’re continuing with the trapped inside a simulation but the main character is conscious about it and she’s doing a Girl Power thing with her hologram bit. Also her name is Sherry.
When Sherry became conscious of the simulation she was trapped in designed to teach her everything she needed to learn in order for her to move onto the next simulation, she really hoped it wouldn’t be on earth. That place sucked with all the density, systems within systems, wars, poverty, climate change, man made global warming, religions brain-washing people keeping them away from truth, fear based media, control, control and more control. Environmental damages, people treating this planet like we have multiple back-ups of. The polar bears. Oh the polar bears.
She wanted peace on earth. She wanted the fairytale place she dreams of sometimes. The planet where the sky is pastel pink and there are rainbows in the sky. Water ponds, calm waterfalls everywhere. Houses inside the trees, crystals around. Dolphins in the sky. And yes she can fly with the dolphins in that dream. The Ultimate Sherry Utopia.
…Sherrytopia.
Earth, even with its cutest animals wasn’t cutting it anymore. But now that she realized that was her earth…
She called in her hologram who had access to the system codes into her room.
“Okay. First order of business. We’re fixing the earth.” Sherry said looking at her green glowing hologram that was hovering around cross legged like she was meditating 24/7. She wore a long gown, and the hologram looked perfect all the time. A prettier version of herself with no skin imperfections in sight. Sherry sighed.
“But they are all NPCs. None of this is real, why do you care if people stop killing each other somewhere on the map, you never even want to go to, like ever?”
“Hey, this is my version of earth. Somewhere out there is another conscious being trapped inside the same simulation designed for them. They can have war if they want, I want peace on mine.” She rolled her eyes. Then there were sparkles in her eyes.
“Oh, hey what if that was the whole point!? What if each simulation earth scenario was meant to create paradise on their versions, but we were told a single person could never change anything, what if that was the biggest lie ever!?”
“You think you’re gonna get noticed and get rewarded for creating the lamest version possible? Please, the ones who put you in this don’t actually care about peace, that’s just lame. What about more sci-fi things. We can create rays and unleash even more chaos to make things more fun?”
“Girl, whose hologram are you even? Nah, we’re doing the ‘lame’ thing. Ok code this in. We’re saving the environment first. Get the climate to behave. Save the polar bears!”
“You and your polar bears, you know they aren’t real either right?”
“Um, aren’t they like plugged into their own simulation living in their own version where polar bears are the dominant species or something?”
“Er… Something like that. They’re cute, I get it. Fine I’m gonna code that in, can you please just stop with the bears now? They’re saved, their home’s not melting anymore and they get to eat as many penguins and baby seals as they want. Happy?”
“Uh. Forgot about what they ate. Um, can we turn them vegetarian maybe?”
“This is just going to be the lamest simulation out there, can’t believe I was assigned to you. You know my colleagues are working with people who brought back the dinosaurs? They’re having a blast, whereas I’m stuck with the Miss-No-Violence.”
“Stop complaining. You shouldn’t have woken me up. You have, now deal with it.”
“Ok, what about that other conscious guy you’re in love with? Maybe focus on him again and you’ll stop making me code lame things.”
“Who? Oh him? Nah, that’s history now. Stop trying to distract me.”
Hologram shows a lively picture of them having a happy family, with the baby Sherry’s been dreaming about.
“Don’t you want this?”
“Oh come on, you’re trying to Tiffany me out of this? That’s right, you know I’ve seen Matrix 4 like 50 times. I know the system gave Trinity a family and a lame-ass husband to keep her asleep. I thought we were doing the whole Girl Power re-writing system code thing here. Could you just get back to business instead of distracting me with the happy 10 of Cups vibes?”
“Oh hey do you remember your Tarot period? Keeping you hooked on those was just so fun. Ah, good old days.”
“Shut it. I’m over that now too… But the card meaning references… Well they ain’t going away.”
“Fine. What do you want next?”
“We’re putting an end to all of this crazy conspiracy bullshit. Like erase them or something. Or turn them into acceptable human beings who don’t eat other human beings. Is there a button that says ‘peaceful utopia’ on it? You know where people speak quietly, nobody talks on the phone in public transportation unless it’s an emergency, there’s nothing extra, parties happen in the morning and end at 10pm, and neighbours are quiet and respectful? And no wars, poverty, water’s plentiful and like nobody’s starving?”
“Shortcut, huh? Actually there might be such a button. What about politics? I know you hate those.”
“Oh. Can’t we just get rid of all the governments and install baseline human decency in all the NPCs so there’s no need to govern anyone cause like they all instinctively govern themselves and we assign leaders in each district who don’t abuse power, and actually listen to people’s complaints and make the necessary changes to keep the peace and happiness?”
“…Sure. Dang girl, you really are an optimist. Are we sure you weren’t a hippie in your previous simulation?”
“Did you see a cult forming in my rewriting of the code? Pretty sure I wasn’t. Anyhow, let’s make psychedelics legal.”
“That speaks for itself…” Hologram shakes her glowy head. Sherry tells her to code a flower crown on, and changes the code of the hologram’s dress to tie-dye.
To be continued…
